What time does the office close?

Normal office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturday.

Do I need an appointment?

You should call our office during normal business hours to set up an appointment for an office visit or a farm call.

What if I have a problem after hours?

There is a doctor on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You may call our regular office number and leave a message with our answering service. The doctor on-call should return your call within 15 minutes.

How far ahead do I need to call for an appointment?

Normally, three to four days is adequate for a farm call visit. However, it is busier in the spring. Surgery appointments are scheduled about a week in advance with emergency surgeries worked in as necessary.

What is considered an emergency?

Any life-threatening injuries as well as other lacerations, eye injuries, colics, horses with a temperature above 103º, sick foals and horses with diarrhea. All of these conditions warrant concern and a call to the veterinarian on emergency duty. The emergency veterinarian is always available to answer your questions.
